School Diversity Week 2018

School Diversity Week 2018

From 2nd to 9th July students and staff celebrated School Diversity Week

Throughout the week students participated in a wide range of Diversity themed activities during lessons, Tutor Time and assemblies, .

The main purpose of the week was to support students to grow up happy in themselves, and understanding the importance of LGBT+ equality.

As part of the week Mr Allott challenged students and staff to produce a video that summarised the importance of Diversity and promoted and School Diversity Week. Mr Allott's passion for music added a twist on Thursday, when he announced to staff that they were required for a musical number. Last year's video was great but, we were aiming for bigger and better. He wanted a video that illustrated how everyone is different and that is fine! Not everyone can sing (Mr Allott included), yet staff recognised the importance of the greater message and were willing to participate in a hope to raise awareness.

Many thanks to all of the students who participated, the staff singers, MAP technicians and Mr Coates who always ensures that the show must go on.

We hope you enjoy our short film.
